Alice of Doncaster attended a baptism at St Mary on the Hill in August 1389.
On a happy occasion in August 1389, Alice of Doncaster was present at St Mary’s for the baptism of Hugh son of Roger Venables. A group of Cheshire gentlemen, assembled to effect a reconciliation between two others, were standing near the gates of St Mary’s when the baby was carried from the church in the arms of his godmother, with his godfather and the prioress in attendance.
